A: Sensitization on PPAD The new procurement law came into effect on 7 January 2016. This training program would answer the following professional practice questions:

What has significantly changed and what are the related contradictions in the new law?

What is the strategic role of the procurement professional?

How would procurement professionals issue an opinion?

Who would the award of contract be in the absence of the tender committee?

What would be the impact of the new committee structures?

What are the roles of regulatory authorities, professional bodies, National Government, and County Government?

How would the new procurement methods be applied in practice?

What is the role of the procurement practitioner in contracts management?

How about disposal of assets in the new procurement system?

As a practitioner how would this law affect you...in practice?

B: Contracts Negotiation and Management Units: Negotiations of contract; formation of contract; drafting of procurement contracts for consultancy, goods, and works; contracts management; the role of procurement professionals in contract management; contract change orders, variations, and amendments; contract performance monitoring; practice role plays; practical exercises. Approach: The program is based on professional training in the practice of Contract Negotiation and Management. Of our trainees, 96% find the training programs better tailored and delivered to meet their learning style and to gain new practical skills. Quality: Our current Trainee Satisfaction Index is 92%. Of our recent trainees in Kenya and other African countries, 98% say our training programs help them to perform better in their procurement functions at their work place. Target: Staff in procurement, supply chain, contracts management, projects management, and oversight from the private, public and development sectors. Award: The participants will be awarded a Certificate of Practical Training in Contracts Negotiation and Management and a Certificate of Practical Training in the PPAD Act 2015.

Fee: The fee is KES 70,000 inclusive of VAT and exclusive of other charges for both courses.
